"BIGBANG: The Beginning" (in Korean: 리얼다큐 빅뱅: 더 베기닝) is a documentary series that follows the K-pop group Big Bang's journey from their pre-debut days to their official debut, capturing their training, auditions, and the formation of the group, including the eventual departure of Hyun-seung.

Six ambitious trainees enter the high-pressure world of YG Entertainment, each determined to make it into the company’s next idol group. While G-Dragon (Kwon Ji-yong | 권지용) and Taeyang (Dong Young-bae | 동영배) have already earned their spots, T.O.P (Choi Seung-hyun | 최승현), Daesung (Kang Dae-sung | 강대성), Seungri (Lee Seung-hyun | 이승현), and Hyunseung (Jang Hyun-seung | 장현승) face a tough battle to prove they have what it takes.
